Free INTRODUCTORY Session

This is the first step for all potential clients and typically lasts 20 minutes. It provides an opportunity for you to offer a brief overview of your main health concerns and what you have tried so far to resolve them. It also gives me the chance to get to know you (and vice versa) and to see if you and I would be a good fit.

Nutrition guidance (fat loss/muscle gain)

Once an appointment has been made, you will be invited to set up an account in the Client Portal. This will enable me to give you access to a series of forms for completion. These will include questions on the following:

  • Health and medical history.

  • Your most important health goals.

  • Your dietary habits.

  • Any supplements and/or medications you may currently be taking.

Please note that the forms can be saved securely within the Client Portal at any point during completion so that you can resume filling them in at your convenience.

I require a minimum of three days to review the completed forms before the date of your appointment, so please do remember to take this into account when booking.

The consultation typically lasts 60 minutes and gives me the opportunity to do the following:

  • A thorough review of your medical history and any relevant previous test results.

  • A review of your current diet and any nutritional supplements you may be taking.

  • A detailed body systems assessment.

  • Guidance on macronutrient ratios and supplement and lifestyle recommendations. Your adherence to these is critical for a successful outcome. Relevant support materials (e.g. handouts and recipes) will be provided.

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Nutrition Guidance (Weight Regain Prevention/Reverse Dieting)

If you’ve ever worked your socks off to lose weight, only to regain it within a year or two, you need to know that it is not your fault.

Humans evolved a metabolic system that protected them from starvation and death. When food was limited, metabolism slowed down to conserve as much energy/calories as possible. When large amounts of food were consumed, energy/calorie stores were rapidly replenished. Having already experienced scarcity, the stored energy/calories were guarded and replenished even more fiercely in future to prevent starvation when food became limited again.

This is bad news today because our genetics have remained the same. We are still hard-wired for potential scarcity, hence the strong inclination to gorge despite unprecedented abundance.

In this session, which typically lasts 60 minutes, you will receive guidance on how to increase metabolic rate (once it has been lowered by the body’s well-meaning self-defence system), including:

  • Guidance on macronutrient ratios and supplement and lifestyle recommendations. Your adherence to these is critical for a successful outcome. Relevant support materials (e.g. handouts and recipes) will be provided.

Subsequent check-ins to monitor progress are recommended every week. Changes will be made to your original plan as appropriate.

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Nutrition Guidance (Guided By Nutrient/Health Status)

Once an appointment has been made, you will be invited to set up an account in the Client Portal. This will enable me to give you access to a series of forms for completion. These will include questions on the following:

  • Recommendations for tests to determine nutrient status and gut health. These can identify underlying imbalances that could be undermining fat loss/muscle gain. Diet and supplement recommendations will be made based on test results.

Prices of individual tests are not included in my fees and will be discussed during your appointment. Payments for tests are to be made directly to the relevant laboratories when samples are submitted.

Payment is required at the time of booking.
